I don't think it is bad for kitties . . . at least I hope it isn't. I love to drink my mommy's tea and coffee.

We have not heard that it's harmful for kitties....just remember Baby Mao, everything in moderation! Unless the tea has milk in it the way our Mommy's chamomile tea often does, then its every kitty for himself!

peppermint is not harmful for kitties cause catnip is the same plant family as peppermint.

It also helps settling you tummy but makes you a bit sleepy (at least this is said)it's also relaxing the digestive tract.

If you have a cat that had to go to the veterinarian, came home and is the target (or makes another cat the target) of hostilities, wipe all the cats down with Peppermint extract. It will eliminate that "hospital" smell that makes the other cats uncomfortable. The cats will get along better, and the vet visit will be forgotten that much quicker.

Your cats get involved with a passing kitty and end up fighting between themselves because of scent, not visual cues. Wipe them down with Peppermint extract and they will calm down.

But our v-e-t says you should not drink more than a few teaspoons a day.
Drinking out of mommas teacup is ok tho ;o))

Wow, Peppermint tea! You guys are funny! My Mum drinks regular tea with milk in it and I don't drink that, but I drink her Ice Tea all the time, until I get caught and she takes it away from me, she has problems with sharing!

I never heard of that before. But if you say it is good, I want to try some!

I think its just fine! If you like it, then go for it. I've never tried it myself but the LL is on a cinnamon tea kick and that just smells icky.

Peppermint tea sounds a bit tasty. We're not much for sharing drinks, but sharing plates of food is a whole other story. :)

I have no idea. It seems like it would be okay.

Maybe da peppermint will make Baby Mao smell minty fresh!

Momma says peppermint is pretty okay. She'd worry more about what else in the tea! I think catmint is related to peppermint, which may be why you guys like it.

Hmm, we'll have to try that peppermint tea thing. Maybe it will prevent fishy chicken breath?

As long as it's got no caffeine... caffeine might make your heart race and freak you out. Or it'll make you run around like your butt is on fire, and that will freak out your people, which might be kinda fun.

Sounds OK to me, peppermint is in the same family as catnip. Astrid, Kashim and Othello have obviously researched this very thoroughly. My William used to drink my coffee whenever I wasn't looking but I didn't let him have too much because of the caffeine content:) xxx
