Tummy Tuesday

Hi effryone!

Here is a picture of me showing off my tummy. I hope Kaia likes it! It is almost a little bit rude but not really - I have seen WAY ruder pictures on the cat blogosphere, let me tell you!

I just want to thank you all for your kind wishes after my trauma with the tumble dryer. Thankfully, I was OK but I know that Mummy and Daddy have taken all of your kind words and advice on board!

Anyway, it is Tuesday and I have to run along and pester my big brother.

Sunday Story

Today something happened.

Daddy was doing the washing and he put the tumble dryer on. As he turned away to go in the other room, there was a thud. Mummy shouted ' WTF** was that?' and ran into the kitchen. Daddy opened the tumble dryer and I crawled out. Mummy shouted lots of swear words at Daddy but the general gist was that he has to check the dryer in future because cats have been known to be really hurt from this. I wasn't hurt or shocked or anything. I was just a bit sleepy because I had been napping inside the nice warm tumble dryer for ages.

Mummy isn't talking to daddy now because she says he is too careless. Daddy said that it was my fault for crawling inside the machine. I think it wasn't anyone's fault, I was just looking for a warm spot to sleep!

Yay!! I got tagged by Fiona & Ali for a Meme! Thanks guys!

So, Here goes:

Favorite season? I think it will be winter because I love snuggles and I think i will get lots of extra food!

2} Favorite colors? Orange. Well, that is my favourite coloured toy, anyway!

3} Favorite room? The kitchen because that is where I get fed.

4} Do you like dogs? I have only ever met one and he wasn't very friendly. So no. No, I don't.

5} Ever been in an airplane box? No and I hope I never will!

6} Do you ever get bathed? Well, Yao-Lin washes me occasionally but his baths are a little rough and ready for my liking. He he.

7} Are you in love? Yes, with beautiful gorgeous Kaia. Except I haven't told her yet.

8} Where would you like to travel to? To where Kaia lives, of course.

9} What do you ignore? Yao-Lin when he is throwing a temper tantrum. This happens at least once a day. Usually at bed time.

10} How many lives have you used up? None (paws crossed).

11} Do you have any dark secrets? Well, you all know that I smell of poo so apart from that, no.

12} What is your favorite holiday? I think Christmas will be brilliant. It's my first Christmas this year! Yay!

13} Water or milk? Water

14} Why do you blog? To make friends and also to annoy Yao-Lin.

15} Are you into extremes? Extreme cuddles, all the way!

16} Favorite TV shows? I LOVE Dr Who. I also love the X Factor and Pop Idol.

17} Are you a pesty lap cat? Yep. All the time.

18} Inside or outside cat? Inside, outside fills me with dread!

19} What makes you happy? Farting on Yao-Lin. It fills me with joy!

20} Your most embarrassing moment? When I pooed on my blanket on the way to the vets. I was only lickle though!

Saturday - Dr Who is on!!

Yay!! I am so excited because Dr Who is on TV tonight!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr Who!! My Mummy LOVES LOVES LOVES David Tennant (the guy in the picture!).

I was wondering what it would be like to be the Doctor's assistant. I think I would be a much better assistant than Martha and Rose combined!

Fun on Friday

Every Friday, Mummy buys the Isle of Wight County Press and every Friday, I make sure she can't read it! Here I am, caught in the act. I would pretend I was reading it but as you can plainly see, the newspaper is upside down. It is a silly newspaper anyway - far too big to be called a real paper and it is perfectly designed for cats to sit on. What do they expect?

Thursday Thirteen

Hey effrycat!

Today, I have decided to list Thirteen things I am scared of. I am scaredy-cat, you know!:

1. The hoover. I run a mile as soon as it is brought out.

2. Mummy's wedge shoes. They are loud and clumpy on the wooden floor so I always run away from them.

3. The outdoors. Unless Yao-Lin is next to me and then I am not so scared.

4. Plastic bags. I had a traumatic experience with one stuck to my neck once and now I wont even sniff them.

5. The new crinkle tunnel mummy bought for me. It makes too much noise.

6. The electric guitar. And the acoustic guitar. I'm not so much scared as irate when Daddy is playing it.

7. Being alone. I HAVE to have either Yao-Lin or another human near me at ALL times. I CANNOT be alone.

8. The next door neighbours. They go into MY garden and I have to growl at them (from a safe distance).

9. Thunder and lightning. I really have to run and hide when it is stormy!

10. My big brother. Ok, most of the time I am not scared of him but sometimes, when he gets his big claws out, he frightens me a little but. I mean, have you seen what he did to Mummy with those things?

11. The phone ringing. I bolt across the room when it rings.

12. Strange cats. I met one, once. It didn't go well. He was big and furry and fat and so curious to meet me. I pooed myself and ran!

13. Kaia not liking me anymore. I am really scared she will meet another cat closer to home who isn't as smelly as me.

See? I am a little scaredy cat! Mummy says I wouldn't last five minutes on my own. She needn't worry - I don't intend to!

Mummy says this picture makes me look like a little puddin' wiv my arms all folded. I was trying to look serious and grown up. Notice the large rock next to me? That is strategically placed there because, well, I am a cat and that is a FISH tank I am sat on!

First Five Days Meme

Hey effrycat! I got tagged by Ali & Fiona for this meme about the first five days in my home! Thanks guys!!


Day One: Am oddly silent during the car journey. This is to compensate for the poo smell emanating from my cat carrier. Hope that my mummy won't mind. She doesn't. Arrive at the house and immediately set about exploring. Am taken aback by the giant siamese who is hissing and howling at me and at mummy. Ignore him and continue to explore. Find the litter tray. Decide i don't like the type of litter that mummy has bought. Wait until everything has calmed down before doing a big poo infront of the fireplace. Litter gets changed soon after!

Day Two: Learn that Yao-Lin is my brother. Feel pleased to have a big brother who will look after me. Learn that he likes to use me as a moving target on which to hone his hunting skills. Perfect the art of crying to get attention from mummy. Realise Mummy is on my side and won't tolerate bullying in any form. Poke tongue out at Yao-Lin as I am scooped up in Mummy's arms.

Day Three: I like the food in my new place. Get fed extra when Yao-Lin goes out to play. Show Mummy that I can play fetch better than Yao-Lin, resulting in yao-Lin throwing a temper tantrum and refusing to play fetch ever again! Climb the curtains. Cuddle with Mummy and Daddy. Learn that sitting on Yao-Lin's head is a fun thing to do.

Day Four: Team up with Yao-Lin to 'cattify' the place. Help Yao-Lin scratch all of the furniture and finish shredding the curtains. Find cozy sleeping spot inside Daddy's wardrobe on top of his work clothes. Leave white fur and poo marks all over his clothing. Don't get told off, no matter how naughty I am. Realise I will like it here!

Day Five: Play hide and seek with big brother. Mummy wants to play too but she isn't very good at it. Go crazy for catnip toys. Yao-Lin calls me an addict. Notice that I have hoo-ha's and Yao-Lin doesn't. Decide I am Alpha baby cat because of this. Notice that mummy uses air freshener ALOT when I am around. Assume she thinks I like the smell. Settle down on Daddy to watch football. Notice Yao-Lin is jealous. Snigger. Love my new home!

I got tagged again!!! I am so excited! Big thank you to both beautiful Celeste and Sweet Suzanne for thinking of me.

Last time I posted these, I was on Yao-Lin's blog and I was in a bit of a hurry. So now I can take my time, inhale the poo smell, and get to work properly! So, here are (not seven) but Thirteen Random Facts about Me, Baby Mao!

1. I cry whenever I don't get my own way. Or, whenever I want some attention. Or when I want feeding. Or just because I can. Yao-Lin calls me a cry-baby.

2. I do number one's in the bathroom sink. Only in the morning, when Mummy is using the bathroom at the same time. I have to do it in unison with her. I don't know why. I just do.

3. I am an expert at playing fetch. I never even had to be taught, it was just, like, instinctual!

4. I read the Cat IQ book before mummy tested me. That is how come I scored so high! (160!!).

5. I believe long distance relationships can and do work. (Hear that, Kaia?;-)

6. I love watching football on the TV. I support Manchester United and whenever they play, I try to chase the ball.

7. I love my Mummy. I tolerate my Daddy because he sits still for longer and provides a good lap. But I always go to my Mummy for cuddles.

8. I play hide and seek with yao-Lin in the garden at dusk. It is my favourite time of the day.

9. I think you already know this one: I am not very hygenic. I know I should be but I just get too excited and forget to, you know, wash! Besides, pillows and clothes are just fine for a good wipe! Yao-Lin calls me a crusty reveller but I don't know what he means.

10. I hate the sound of the acoustic guitar. When Daddy plays it in the evening, I really really shout at him. He either has to stop right there or go into another room to practise!

11. I like being the baby of the family. It means I can get away with more stuff!

12. I hate being alone. If Yao-Lin isn't around, I will howl and howl and howl until someone picks me up.

13. I like nothing more than provoking a reaction from my big brother. I am always pestering him, jumping on him, biting his neck and farting in his face. It is fun!

2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Not really but my human had just finished reading a book about Chairman Mao ( not the cat!). I am called Baby because I am the runt and am destined to stay small and cute forever!

3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY? When I couldn't get out from under Yao-Lin's arm. He forced me to stay still until Mummy had taken the picture. I could hardly breathe!

5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LUNCHMEAT? Ham. Mmmm. With salad. Mmmm.

12. FAVOURITE CEREAL? Rice Krispies. Daddy eats these every day and I always get what is left over in the bowl.

Frootbat Friday

Hi effryone - here is a picture of me looking a little frootbatty! I hope you like it!





Yao-Lin is in trouble because he walked into next door and woke up the old lady that lives there. Then he came home with a big piece of chicken. Mummy doesn't cook him chicken because it gives him a bad tummy. When mummy tried to get the chicken away from Yao-Lin, he growled and swiped at her and then ran off with it in his mouth.

He is so naughty!!! Maybe if he tried being cute like me he would get his own way more often!
