Thanksgiving Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving to my America friends!

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in England which is a shame becos we have a lot to be thankful for!

Except maybe for the football results - England lost to Croatia 3-2 last night! Mummy said it was a dismal performance but truthfully England didn't really deserve to go through anyway.

So I thought I would list thirteen things I am thankful for :

1. My warm fur. It keeps me toasty.

2. My Mummy. She lets me snuggle under her T-Shirt when it's cold.

3. My yummy food. Everyday I get a yummy dinner and I eat all of it and then I sneak some of Yao-Lin's when he isn't looking. Ha ha!

4. My toys. I have lots and lots of toys.

5. My zoom groom! It's great! I purr and purr. I was frightened of it at first but then I realised how nice it feels.

6. My blog. I love how many friends I have and I LOVE receiving international parcels! They are sooo much fun!

7. My catnip banana. Well, I am thankful for it but I haven't actually been allowed to play with it yet. I will, in time.

8. My big brother. He may be moody but he does get things done around here.I have to give credit where credit is due - Yao-Lin knows exactly how to get mummy to clean the litter tray/cook the dinner/feed us treats etc.

9. My siamese howl. I like to excercise my vocal cords every day at 5:00 am. I think I sound like an angel singing. ;-)

10. My neighbours who eat KFC every weekend. Yao-Lin always manages to steal some and afterwards he brings it back and we play with it. Except he growls at me but that is ok cos it is still fun and a bit tasty too.

11. My girlfriend Kaia.

12. My clothes. Mummy always buys me cute clothes.

13. My mummy's wages which keep the stinky goodness coming.

Haf a lovely Thanksgiving all my American friends, I wish I could celebrate it over there with you!

Thursday Thirteen

Hey effrycat! I am so happy you liked my halloween outfit! I really really want to win but Yao-Lin says there is no category for the Stinkiest Meezer and that I am not even in with a chance. *humph*

Anyway, I wanted to tell you about my exciting day yesterday!!

1. Mummy came home from work early and she had a bag full of stuff and I just KNEW it was stuff for me!!!

2. I got so excited, I started running around like a crazy cat and Mummy thought I was being so cute that she gave me a yummy salmon treat. Result!

3. I got to go on a little adventure in the PTU. Well, it wasn't a HUGE adventure because me and Yao-Lin just stayed in the car but it was still fun, I felt like I was sneaking out!

4. I did get a little bored in the car so I had a nice nap.

5. When I woke up, Mummy was carrying me into the house and I could smell YUMMY food!

6. I got fillet steak for dinner PLUS some more salmon treats.

7. Mummy had bought me some fantastic toys!

8. One of my new toys was a selection of grey and orange mice which I just LOVE LOVE LOVE to play with.

9. Mummy explained to me that the Landlady had just been round and apparently she isn't keen on pets so that's why she had to hide me. I nodded to say I understood and then played with all my toys.

10. Yao-Lin went to bed in a big sulk so Mummy spent the evening playing with me and my new toys! It was PAWSOME!

11. I got to stay up late and eat ice-cream. It was a bit cold but I really liked licking the bowl.

12. I forgot to mention, Mummy spring cleaned the litter tray and I had a LOT of fun stinking it up again.

13. Mummy gave me extra cuddles because she felt guilty. I don't know why - I was only in the PTU for ten minutes.

Anyway, that's my Thursday Thirteen for today!

Dear Mummy

You get paid tomorrow so I just wanted to give you this list. It is very impawtant.

1. Please may I have some sirloin steak? You bought it last month and it was yummy. I don't really like the quick fry cheap steak anymore, just the juicy sirloin. Thank you .

2. Please may I have some more Sheba Beef in gravy?

3. Please may I have some more toys? I am a little bit bored with the toys scattered around the house.

4. Please may I have a cat cradle for the heater? The central heating is on now and I think I would benefit from another heat source, other than Yao-Lin.

5. Please may I have some roast lamb?. Yao-Lin is busy eating some and I want my own.

6. Please may I have some nice clothes from the woof and wag website? I love the pink jumper best and I think I would look really nice in it.

7. Please may I have a new collar? Mine is a bit tatty and I want to look my best incase Kaia sees me!

8. Please may I have some nice expensive cat litter? I don't like the clumping kind.

9. Please may I rent Shrek The Third from Blockbuster this weekend? I have been wanting to watch it for ages.

10. Please may I have some catnip ravioli? The other cats brag about it all the time and I think I am old enough to try it.

11. Please may you buy some more catnip seeds? I ate the little plants that were germinating in the pot so now we need some more.

12. Please may I have some more tinned pumpkin? It is really good for me and I love it a lot.

13. Please may I have a new blanket? It is getting colder and colder and I just need some more snuggle stuff.

Hi effrycat!

I am a little bit annoyed today and here is why:

Thirteen Reasons Why Mummy Is Too Busy To Help Me Blog:

1. Sims 2 Bon Voyage was just released and she is spending all her time sending her sims on holiday.

2. She just spent ages uploading thirteen photos of Yao-Lin being naughty.

3. She has gone back to work. *sigh*

4. She is too busy cooking my steak dinner. Ok, I will let her off on that one.

5. She has to do boring online banking.

6. People keep coming over to the house and distracting her from me and my blog!

7. She has to clean the cat poo off the carpet. Ok, I will let her off on that one too.

8. She just noticed that I put poo prints on the bedroom curtains and now she has to find out how to wash her voile curtains without damaging the delicate material. Except they have already been shredded by Yao-Lin so it doesn't really matter.

9. She has to go and have a shower. She is a bit smelly right now. That is rich coming from me!

10. She wants to watch Heroes on TV tonight.

11. She has to get the laundry done.

12. She has to phone her friends to catch up.

13. She has to go to bed because she is tired from work!

Thirteen things to do when your big brother is locked in the airing cupboard all morning:

1. Listen to his pitiful howling.

2. Sympathise, and try and open the door.

3. Become distracted by a toy on the floor.

4. Play up and down the stairs with favourite mouse.

5. Eat lots of food.

6. Have a little nap.

7. Wonder where your brother is.

8. Remember that your brother is locked in the airing cupboard. Go upstairs to visit him. Realise you can't open doors.

9. Become distracted by moth fluttering about.

10. Chase the moth around the house.

11. Start to forget you ever had a big brother. What was his name again?

12. Help Mummy with the housework. Look very cute whilst chasing feather duster.

13. Hear lots of commotion at the top of the stairs. Chase toilet paper confetti coming from the airing cupboard. Meet up with long lost angry brother. Sigh.

Hi effryone!

Today I have decided to dedicate my Thursday Thirteen to my new best dog friend, Charlie!

So, here are thirteen facts about my Not of My Species Special Friend:

1. Charlie LOVES food. There are so many pictures of him eating out there on the innernet!

2. Charlie is exceptionally cute. Honestly, head over to his blog and gush over his cuteness. He is almost as cute as me!

3. Charlie is a rockin' dog blogger.

4. He started blogging in 2004 when he was just a baby.

5. He was the CUTEST puppy!

6. Charlie is a golden retriever so he is really good and playing fetch like me!

7. He lives with a cat called Jessie.

8. Charlie was born in Indiana and his humans had to fly out there to pick him.

9. Charlie's humans love him so much and they count their lucky stars they met such a wonderful cute dog.

10. As a result of number 9, Charlie has the run of his home! I think you could say he rules the roost.

11. He has another woofie friend called Gabbie who comes over to play sometimes. I think she used to play funny games with Charlie until she had a ladygardenectomy.

12. Did I mention how cute he is?

13. He is my first doggie friend and I love him!

Thursday Thirteen

This Thursday Thirteen is dedicated to all the stuff in the new house that belongs to me alone.

1. All the carpets. Everywhere. I will roll and scratch on them all day if I have to, just so certain cats know who they belong to.

2. All the cupboards. I have been inside, outside, inside again. These are mine.

3. The sofas. Jump on. Jump off. Roll. Scratch. Mine!

4. The chairs. As above.

5. The computer desk. Well, this was mine in the old place too.

6. The kitchen. My counters. My fruit bowl. My microwave. My everything.

7. The living room. Well, duh!

8. The spare bedroom. Already covered in my fur! Ha ha!

9. The main bedroom. As above!

10. The kitchen. This one is important and needs repeating so that some cats understand.

11. The stairs.

12. The wardrobe.

13. The whole house.

So, I suppose you could say that I have settled in to my new place quite well!

Things went pretty smoothly with the move. I was a little bit afraid at first but then I realised that if I wanted to make this place my home I had to act quickly and establish my territory.

I am pleased to say that I did manage to trail some poo prints around and I will post some pictures of my hard work very soon.

Hi everyone! I have been a bit naughty lately so I thought I would keep with the theme and post Thirteen ways to annoy your sibling

1. Jump on his head when he is asleep.

2. Make him play hide n seek when he just wants to rest.

3. Steal his toys and play with them in front of him.

4. Groom him enthusiastically when he is trying to ignore you.

5. Hide in the bathroom and then call out like you are in pain. When he comes running, pounce on him! It's all a big game!

6. Eat from one food bowl whilst sitting on the other. He won't go near the second bowl because your bum has been near it so you get double helpings!

7. Steal his blog. That one will REALLY annoy him!

8. When he is asleep under the duvet with mummy, jump onto the bed but accidentally on purpose land on him! You can pretend it was a mistake!

9. Pull the net curtains down and blame it on him. This works especially well if your bro is twice the size of you! Who would suspect li'l ole me?

10. Use his head as a stepping stone to get to a higher position. Trust me, your sibling will hate this!

11. Bunnykick him when he least expects it.

12. Start wearing his clothes. My brother HATES it when I borrow his shirts!

13. Eat his yoghurt when he isn't looking.

Well, everyone keeps sayin that I am not such a babycat any more and I was feelin a bit sad. So I thought I would post Thirteen Reasons Why its Good to be a Kitten:

1. You are cute, all the time, without even trying.

2. EVERYONE says ' oooh look at that cute little baby kitty he is sooo gorgeous' ALL THE TIME.

3. You get extra stinky goodness and it is the kitten variety which is way tastier than the grown up stuff.

4. You can climb up curtains without ripping a big hole in them.

5. You don't get blamed for leaving poo prints everwhere cos ' you are just a baby'.

6. You don't get blamed for playing on the bed and waking your Mummy and Daddy up at 2:00 am because 'you are just a baby'.

7. You can harrass your older sibling but if they retaliate, they get told to leave you alone because ' you are just a baby'.

8. You can play hide and seek really really well because you can fit into such small spaces.

9. Your clothes are cheaper to buy because you are small.

10. You get fed four times a day because ' you are just a baby'.

11. You can snuggle under your Mummy's T-Shirt and people can't help but think it is cute because you are just a baby.

12. You can do naughty things like having a wee in the bathroom sink and nobody tells you off because you are just a baby!

13. When you howl your Mummy immediately picks you up and says ' oh, what's up with that little baby cat, hmm?'.

Yay!! I got tagged by Fiona & Ali for a Meme! Thanks guys!

So, Here goes:

Favorite season? I think it will be winter because I love snuggles and I think i will get lots of extra food!

2} Favorite colors? Orange. Well, that is my favourite coloured toy, anyway!

3} Favorite room? The kitchen because that is where I get fed.

4} Do you like dogs? I have only ever met one and he wasn't very friendly. So no. No, I don't.

5} Ever been in an airplane box? No and I hope I never will!

6} Do you ever get bathed? Well, Yao-Lin washes me occasionally but his baths are a little rough and ready for my liking. He he.

7} Are you in love? Yes, with beautiful gorgeous Kaia. Except I haven't told her yet.

8} Where would you like to travel to? To where Kaia lives, of course.

9} What do you ignore? Yao-Lin when he is throwing a temper tantrum. This happens at least once a day. Usually at bed time.

10} How many lives have you used up? None (paws crossed).

11} Do you have any dark secrets? Well, you all know that I smell of poo so apart from that, no.

12} What is your favorite holiday? I think Christmas will be brilliant. It's my first Christmas this year! Yay!

13} Water or milk? Water

14} Why do you blog? To make friends and also to annoy Yao-Lin.

15} Are you into extremes? Extreme cuddles, all the way!

16} Favorite TV shows? I LOVE Dr Who. I also love the X Factor and Pop Idol.

Hey effrycat!

Today, I have decided to list Thirteen things I am scared of. I am scaredy-cat, you know!:

1. The hoover. I run a mile as soon as it is brought out.

2. Mummy's wedge shoes. They are loud and clumpy on the wooden floor so I always run away from them.

3. The outdoors. Unless Yao-Lin is next to me and then I am not so scared.

4. Plastic bags. I had a traumatic experience with one stuck to my neck once and now I wont even sniff them.

5. The new crinkle tunnel mummy bought for me. It makes too much noise.

6. The electric guitar. And the acoustic guitar. I'm not so much scared as irate when Daddy is playing it.

7. Being alone. I HAVE to have either Yao-Lin or another human near me at ALL times. I CANNOT be alone.

8. The next door neighbours. They go into MY garden and I have to growl at them (from a safe distance).

9. Thunder and lightning. I really have to run and hide when it is stormy!

10. My big brother. Ok, most of the time I am not scared of him but sometimes, when he gets his big claws out, he frightens me a little but. I mean, have you seen what he did to Mummy with those things?

11. The phone ringing. I bolt across the room when it rings.

12. Strange cats. I met one, once. It didn't go well. He was big and furry and fat and so curious to meet me. I pooed myself and ran!

13. Kaia not liking me anymore. I am really scared she will meet another cat closer to home who isn't as smelly as me.

See? I am a little scaredy cat! Mummy says I wouldn't last five minutes on my own. She needn't worry - I don't intend to!

I got tagged again!!! I am so excited! Big thank you to both beautiful Celeste and Sweet Suzanne for thinking of me.

The rules:This Meme is entitled Seven Random Things about Me. Each player starts with seven random facts about himself. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment/pawmail that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

Last time I posted these, I was on Yao-Lin's blog and I was in a bit of a hurry. So now I can take my time, inhale the poo smell, and get to work properly! So, here are (not seven) but Thirteen Random Facts about Me, Baby Mao!

1. I cry whenever I don't get my own way. Or, whenever I want some attention. Or when I want feeding. Or just because I can. Yao-Lin calls me a cry-baby.

2. I do number one's in the bathroom sink. Only in the morning, when Mummy is using the bathroom at the same time. I have to do it in unison with her. I don't know why. I just do.

3. I am an expert at playing fetch. I never even had to be taught, it was just, like, instinctual!

4. I read the Cat IQ book before mummy tested me. That is how come I scored so high! (160!!).

5. I believe long distance relationships can and do work. (Hear that, Kaia?;-)

6. I love watching football on the TV. I support Manchester United and whenever they play, I try to chase the ball.

7. I love my Mummy. I tolerate my Daddy because he sits still for longer and provides a good lap. But I always go to my Mummy for cuddles.

8. I play hide and seek with yao-Lin in the garden at dusk. It is my favourite time of the day.

9. I think you already know this one: I am not very hygenic. I know I should be but I just get too excited and forget to, you know, wash! Besides, pillows and clothes are just fine for a good wipe! Yao-Lin calls me a crusty reveller but I don't know what he means.

10. I hate the sound of the acoustic guitar. When Daddy plays it in the evening, I really really shout at him. He either has to stop right there or go into another room to practise!

11. I like being the baby of the family. It means I can get away with more stuff!

12. I hate being alone. If Yao-Lin isn't around, I will howl and howl and howl until someone picks me up.

13. I like nothing more than provoking a reaction from my big brother. I am always pestering him, jumping on him, biting his neck and farting in his face. It is fun!
